This 2 hour 1:1 remote online training course will take you through everything you need to get to grips with your
Garmin BaseCamp, SatMap GPS Xpedition or GPS Training OS route planning software
If you have access to a computer with speakers and a good broadband connection to the internet then you can book a 1:1 remote online training course, during which you will be face to face with one of our expert tutors and be shown how to get to grips with either Garmin BaseCamp or SatMap Xpedition 2 route planning software,
This two-hour session is intended to concentrate solely on getting you to get to grips with the software.
We will log onto your computer and teach you at a pace taht suits you best.
Getting to grips with your route planning software on your PC or Mac - During the 2 hours of the 1:1 Zoom call, you will -
- Understand how to open the software on your computer
- Know how to connect your GPS by USB cable to your computer
- Be shown around the route planning software Menus and Toolbars
- Understand how to manage your Library
- Find out how to setup the software for Windows/ Mac on your computer
- Be shown how to use Map Drawing tools in BaseCamp to create simple route
- Learn how to send the created route to your GPS
- See how to open the route in your GPS
- Leaving 20 minutes at the end to answer any other specific questions/ problems you are having.
ONCE you have booked you will receive a link so you can select a time for this training to take place, at a time that suits you best.
Terms & Conditions
GPS Training - Booking Terms & Conditions:
It is essential that you read, understand and accept the following terms and conditions prior to making a booking for one of our courses.
1. BOOKINGS
Once a booking has been made by internet, by telephone or by post and the course fees or deposit paid, the booking becomes firm. By making a firm booking, you are entering into a contract. Your contract is with GPS Training, which is part of Shepherds Walks Ltd

Bookings are only accepted in Sterling. If you pay by credit card in another currency, you will be responsible for any currency conversion costs incurred.
You will receive a written confirmation by email (if you gave us your email address) or by post (if you have no email address). If you cancel your booking, you may be entitled to a refund as explained in section 2 and 3 below.
2. PAYMENT OF BALANCE OF COURSE FEE
All courses must be paid in full at the time of booking
3. CANCELLATION & AMENDMENT BY YOU
Cancellation of UK based GPS day courses only
If you wish to cancel your course booking, you must notify us in writing (by post or email).
Refund policy, after customer cancelation
1. 56 days or more before course/walk/ event date - Full refund minus £10.00 admin charge or free transfer onto another course.
2. More than 28 days and less than 56 days a 50% refund or free transfer onto another course.
3. Less than 28 days before the course/walk/ event date no refund will be given.
Amendment of all course
i) If you are unable to take up your course, you may arrange for someone else to attend/ go in your place provided that you notify us in writing (by post or email) at least 7 days before the course. A £10 administration charge (including VAT) will be charged to your credit card for this service.
4. MINIMUM NUMBERS
We reserve the right to cancel a course if insufficient places have been sold to make it viable. If this happens we will endeavour to give you at least two weeks’ notice prior to the course date. If you would prefer to transfer your place to an alternative available course date we will do this for you, otherwise we will give you a full refund.
5. FORCE MAJEURE
We will not be liable to pay any compensation if we are forced to cancel or change any aspect of the course due to circumstances beyond our control which we or our host location managers could not have reasonably foreseen or forestalled. Such circumstances include, but are not restricted to war or threat of war, terrorist activity, riots or civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire or bad weather.
6. INFORMATION
Any statements, descriptions, illustrations, photographs, drawings or any other matters contained in our website, advertisements or other literature are made in good faith but are not guaranteed to be accurate and are intended merely to represent a general picture of our courses and shall not form any part of the contract between us.
We reserve the right to improve our courses from time to time so that the descriptions as set out in our website, advertisements and other literature may not match identically with the actual course content and participant experience.
7. COMPLAINTS
We will try to resolve any problems as soon as you notify us of them. If you want to complain during the course, please inform your Course Leader. If the problem cannot be resolved to your satisfaction, please notify our head office in writing within 14 days of the completion of the course, setting out the full details of the complaint. We will reply to you within 14 days of the receipt of your letter.
8. ONLINE RESOURCE
Our Online courses are provided, maintained and controlled by GPS Training entirely at our discretion. The purchase of an online training course from GPS Training in no way guarantees any right of access to the online resource. By signing up for our online resource you agree to GPS Training using your email address to send you a copy of their monthly newsletter; you can unsubscribe at any time.
9. YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS
We do not pass on your personal details or email address to a third party.
