GPX File cleaner
Does your .gpx file throw an error when you load it onto your GPS unit or watch, or when you import it into route planning software? Run it through the cleaner below and it will usually sort itself out.
Two things cause most of the problems we see:
- No elevation data. Ordnance Survey's own route planner leaves it out of exported .gpx files. Tick Add elevation if missing below.
- Waypoints left on the track. Some planners (Ordnance Survey included) scatter waypoints along a planned route. Tick Remove waypoints below.
