Review - Suunto Race GPS watch

After two weeks of continuous use, here is our in-depth video review of the Suunto Race GPS watch.

In this video, Andy from GPS Training reviews the Suunto Race Steel watch after wearing it for a couple of weeks.

He highlights its bright AMOLED display, sapphire glass screen, and strong GPS performance. The steel version weighs 83g, while the titanium model is lighter at 69g.

The watch is waterproof to 100m and offers 40+ hours of battery life with multi-GNSS and dual-frequency GPS, extendable by adjusting settings.

Andy praises the detailed colour maps, turn-by-turn navigation, and the ability to switch power modes mid-activity to conserve battery. He finds the scroll wheel and touchscreen intuitive, making zooming and navigation easy.

Health and fitness tracking includes heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen, steps, calories, and training recovery data.

The Suunto app allows route planning and GPX file imports, and syncing with Komoot and Strava enhances navigation and training features.

The watch also provides smart notifications, weather updates, and fitness insights.

At £345, Andy sees the Race Steel as excellent value, offering full outdoor navigation, fitness tracking, and smart features. GPS Training customers will receive free online training videos to help them get started.
